ELITE

The Maine Academy won twice. Cam Frechette scored four goals, Ridge Field scored twice, Brendan Bolduc had a goal and an assist and Jacob Smith pitched a shutout in an 8-0 victory over Portland – and Bradon Carin scored what turned out to be the winner nine seconds into the second period of a 2-1 decision over Framingham;

Ethan Kavanagh pitched a shutout and Dawson Gendreau scored with 5:15 left as Portland trimmed Winchester 2-0; and No. 37’s second and third goals of the game, with 5:26 and 48 seconds left, gave Lynnfield/Saugus a 4-3 win over Waltham – Alex Miller with 2-1-3 and Justin Moran 1-2-3 in the loss.

AAA

Newburyport won twice in the North. Patrick Birmingham scored twice, Seamus Webster had two assists and Jackson Marshall pitched a shutout in a 4-0m victory over the Sharks – and Drew Ventura pitched a shutout and No. 5 scored with 9:19 left in a 1-0 decision over Arlington;

Trent Costa scored twice in Groton’s 3-1 victory over Tewksbury – and Logan Otto scored twice, Brett Patnode assisting on both goals, as Concord trimmed Winthrop 3-1.

Reading and Andover both won a game and tied each other and Lexington/Bedford wore a pair of ties in the South. Kevin Donaghey assisted on both goals and Cam McKenna scored what turned out to be the winner in the second period as Reading edged the Maine Academy 2-1; Jordan Price scored twice and Nick Germano pitched a shutout as Andover stopped NH East 5-0 – and Brendan Hannabury was in goal for Reading and Jeremy Morgenstern for Andover in a 0-0 tie; Connor Daley scored with 1:09 left to give Newton a 3-3 tie with Lexington/Bedford, Baxter Cardamone with 1-1-2 and Luke Foster two assists for Newton and Ronan Bryant two goals, one with 2:49 left, for L/B – and Robert Downing and Brendan Hermanspan scored 1:35 apart early in the third period to give Framingham a 2-2 tie with Lexington/Bedford;

Mathews scored twice and Burke and Orton scored 40 seconds apart late in a four-goal first period that sent South Boston past SMS 5-3; Declan Harrington scored with 2:03 left to give Belmont a 2-1 decision over Newton; and Zach Merrick dished out two assists and Max Gauthier scored what turned out to be the winner midway through the second period as NH East downed Maine 5-2.

In the North, James Trussell and Xavier Metivier shared the shutout, Ethan Schena had a goal and an assist and Pat Cohen scored early in Methuen’s 2-0 victory over Burlington; No. 18 scored with 45 seconds left to give NH East a 2-2 tie with Agawam – Gibson with 1-1-2 for Agawam; Dalton MacKinnon had two assists and Tyler Flaherty the winner as Burlington scored three times in a 3:43 span of the second period and edged Melrose 3-2 – Cam Marks with both goals in the loss; Colby Milbury (one assist) and Colin Finnegan scored 58 seconds apart and Ronan McCarthy had two assists as Parkway nipped Natick 4-3; and Tyler Duby scored twice, Tom Labb posted 1-1-2 and Alex Crook two assists in Natick’s 5-1 win over Waltham.

Greater Lowell won three times in the South. Andrew Dickson scored twice, Pat Crowley posted 1-1-2 and Jack Gray two assists in a 4-1 victory over Beverly; Josh MacPherson capped a hat trick with the goal the turned out to be the winner 1:04 into the third period as Lowell edged Lynnfield/Saugus 5-4, Lorenzo Keegan and Alex Salvo with 1-1-2 apiece in the loss – and Jake Veiera and Andrew Carrabis shared the shutout and Crowley posted 1-1-2 in a 3-0 victory over the Edge;

Barrett Genovese, Nick Hart and Pete Jussaume all had a goal and an assist and Craig Jackson pitched a shutout as Acton-Boxboro downed Winchester 5-0; Jordan Laudini scored a goal and then assisted on Keith Ricci’s goal 35 seconds later, Ricci adding an assist and Matt Tardif posting 1-1-2 as Waltham topped Woburn 4-2; Dan Morency scored the winner with 9:10 left and added an assist and Andrew Bernfeld also had 1-1-2 as Beverly edged Winchester 5-0; Sarfield came within four-tenths of a second of a shutout, John Broughel scoring, Jared McDonald posted 1-1-2 and Gavin Buruca had two assists as Medford nipped Newton 3-1; and Carson Priante scored twice and James Vorbau came within 1:16 of a shutout, Carter scoring, in Newton’s 4-1 win over Woburn

Somerville won twice in the East. Cam Carreiro (two assists) and Nikky Merkwel scored early in the third period for a 3-2 decision over Triton – and Merkel dished out three assists and Vallessio scored twice, Somerville scoring three in the first period to trim Wellesley 4-2, Choate with both goals in the loss; Choate scored with 3:28 left in the second period, ending the scoring and giving Wellesley a 1-1 tie with Reading – Trystan Bourque with as first-period goal for Reading; Garrett Johnson pitches a shutout and Jacob Mauro scored both goals in Twin City’s 2-0 victory over Chelmsford; Kevin Mannion scored his second goal of the game with 8:20 left and Christian Hayes followed with 4:09 remaining to give Dorchester a 4-4 tie with Cape Ann – John Andrew with two goals and Andrew Guelli 1-1-2 for Cape Ann; CJ Smethurst scored the winner with 6:27 left and Logan Wineriter assisted on both goals as Concord edged the Starhawks 2-1; Max Strong clicked for 2-2-4, Dan Cornetta had 1-1-2 and Ben Canfield pitched a shutout as Nashoba stopped Chelmsford 5-0; Jack Taylor scored with seven seconds left to give Triboro a 2-2 tie with Wakltham – Nick DiPace with both goals for Waltham; and Angelo Ritacco had 1-2-3, Nick Forget and Eamon Crocker both scored twice, Cam Troio posted 1-1-2 and Dana Watts also had two assists as the Crusaders downed the Starhawks 6-1.

SMS won twice in the West. Theodore Lisa scored one goal and dished out three assists and Eli Lemieux and Ethan Winer both scored twice in a 6-2 victory over Needham – and Winer went for two goals and an assist in a 4-1 triumph over Dedham;

Myles Hammond scored what turned out to be the winner with 6:59 left and Cam Chambers had two assists as NH east topped Cambridge 5-3 – William Cooper with 1-2-3 and Gideon Katz 1-1-2 in the loss; and Shamus Royds clicked for 2-1-3 as Everett/Revere trimmed Andover 5-3 – Moulton with 1-1-2 in the loss.

A

North Central won twice, Hollis and Triboro both had a win and a tie and Lynn wore two ties in the North. Ethan Casavant had a goal and two assists, Josh Garrity scored twice and Lincoln Blodgett added two assists in North Central’s 6-3 victory over Concord-Carlisle, Duncan Stephenson with 1-1-2 in the loss – and Sam Tucker scored the winner with 4:41 left and Casavant posted 1-1-2 in a 4-3 decision over Twin City, Maliq Bourque with two goals in the loss; Ruthvik Yenisetti and Collin O’Donnel scored third-period goals and TJ Vitullo posted 1-1-2 as Hollis pulled out a 3-2 victory over Twin City – and Carter Hall scored the tying goal 14 seconds into the third period and Danny Lynn had two assists as the Outlaws earned a 3-3 tie with Hollis, Vitullo with two goals, Max Sears 1-1-2 and Sean Kelly two assists for Hollis; Jack Board and Joe McEvoy (one assists) scored third-period goals, McEvoy coming through with two minutes left to give Triboro a 6-4 decision over Acton-Boxboro, Kyle Bourque with 1-1-2 in the win and Josh Lee 1-1-2 and Cooper Matthews two assists in the loss – and Matt Skillings scored with one second left in the second period to end the scoring and give Triboro a 1-1 tie with Concord-Carlisle; Olivieri capped a hat trick with 33 seconds left to give Lynn a 4-4 tie with Peabody, Sam Jenkins with 1-2-3 for Peabody – and MacDonald scored with 9:17 left and Kirby’s second then came with 61 seconds left to give Lynn a 4-4 tie with Woburn, Olivieri with 1-1-2 for Lynn and Austin Wackrow 1-1-2 for Woburn;

In the other game, Doherty scored two goals and set up two others, Remley posted 1-2-3 and D’Ambrosio 1-1-2 in North Andover’s 7-1 victory over Agawam.

The Demons won twice in the South. Matt Bird scored what turned out to be the winner in the second period of a 2-1 decision over Medfield – and Brendon Geary scored with 30 seconds left to give his team a 2-01 decision over Wilmington;

Nick Hall and Curtis Mann shared the shutout, Ben Goolsby scored both goals and Dylan Sadowski assisted on both as the Edge nipped Marblehead 2-0; Dan Smith posted 2-1-3, Evan Steele had 1-2-3 and Derek Donovan two assists in North Reading’s 5-1 victory over the Sharks; Jack Ellis and Bobby Lablanc combined on the shutout and Jared Knight scored in the second period as NH East edged Lynnfield/Saugus; Hayden Flaherty and Eoin McDonough both had 2-1-3 and Joe MacDonald posted 1-2-3 in Haverhill/Pentucket’s 7-3 win over Wakefield – Brendan Vacca with 1-1-2 in the loss; Ryan Hovermale came within 1:26 of a shutout, Steve Robinson scoring, and Evan Smotrich clicked for 1-1-2 in Winthrop’s 3-1 decision over Wakefield; and No. 14 snapped a 1-1 tie with 11 seconds left in the second period as Wilmington nipped the Sharks 3-1.

Masco, Parkway and Cape Ann all won twice and Arlington wore a pair of ties in the East. Caputo scored with 5:23 left and Glynn (2-1-3) followed with 45 seconds remaining to give Masco a 4-3 decision over Burlington A1, Callahan with two assists for Masco and Jake Taylor 1-1-2 for Burlington – and Callahan wore the hat and added an assist, Glynn posted 1-2-3, McKenna had three assists and Rennikko and Arsenault both posted 1-1-2 in a 7-1 victory over Burlington A2; Murphy Hagerty wore the hat and Andres Pinto pitched a shutout in Parkway’s 4-0 win over Brookline – and Connor Stowe scored the winner in a 2-1 decision over Waltham; Frew Rowen scored four goals and set up another to lead Cape Ann to a 7-4 victory over Newburyport, Brennan Shannon and Cal Barraclough with two goals apiece in the loss – and Robbie Anderson delivered two assists and Walker Knowles pitched a shutout in a 4-0 victory over Melrose; Dan Cohen scored the tying goal with 2:52 left, Kyle Bunker scored twice and Levi Tristan had 1-1-2 as Needham pulled out a 4-4 tie with Arlington, Kevin Ventura with two goals and Brendan Grubb 1-1-2 for Arlington – and No. 81’s second goal of the game, with 2:19 left, gave Waltham a 3-3 tie with Arlington – Jeff Peter with assists on all three Waltham goals;

Billy Bridges pitched a shutout and Jake Shapiro broke up Joe Bullock’s shutout bid with 51 seconds to give Framingham a 1-0 victory over Brookline; Danny Sullivan had 1-1-2 and Jake Quinlan two assists as Burlington A1 defeated Melrose 5-3 — Dillon Maguire with two goals in the loss; Conneely Mullan snapped a 3-3 tie with 25 seconds left in the second period as Belmont trimmed the Sharks 5-3 – Devin Morin with two goals in the loss; Matt Bonano delivered 2-1-3, Dan Downie had 1-1-2 and Luke McCarthy came within 2:45 of a shutout, Adam Bridgeo scoring, as Burlington A2 topped Danvers 4-1; Morin scored two goals and dished out three assists, Pat Corkum wore the hat and added an assist, Teague Olsen posted 2-2-4, Jack Kelly had 2-1-3, Alex Stencel 1-2-3 and Cam Genong 1-1-2 as the Sharks scored a big win over Needham – Johnny Hernberg with 1-1-2 in the loss; Nick Tuozzolo had 1-1-2 and Fionn O’Connor pitched a shutout in Newton’s 4-0 victory over the Starhawks; and Zach Dutton capped a hat trick with 2:26 left to give Andover a 5-5 tie with Nashoba – Ryan Luis with 1-1-2 for Andover and Ben Hays 2-1-3 and Aidan Linnane 1-1-2 for Nashoba.

Greater Lowell won twice and Acton-Boxboro wore two ties in the West.  Brandon Johnson had a goal and an assist, Shayne McDonald dished out two assists and Jonathan Ross snapped a 1-1 tie with 1:08 left in the second period of a 4-1 victory over North Central—and Josh Ratnoff scored twice in a 3-1 win over SMS; Matt Willhite scored 58 seconds into the third period to give North Central a 1-1 tie with Acton-Boxboro, Eli Fishbein with a first-period goal for A-B – and Dante Colonero scored with 1:14 left and then came through again 15 seconds later to give the Crusaders a 4-4 tie with Acton-Boxboro, Demetrios Dapkas with a hat trick and Colin Hatton 1-1-2 for A-B;

James McInnes was in goal for Chelmsford and Darien Ackerman for Groton in a 0-0 tie; John Aldorisi’s second goal of the game, with 6:49 left, gave Medford a 4-3 decision over Dorchester; Aiden Foley had a goal and an assist in Beverly’s 5-1 triumph over Waltham; Charlie Dixon scored twice and Steve Joseph had two assists as Lexington/Bedford nipped Winchester 3-1; and Kyle Hammond scored the winner in the second period as SMS edged Groton 3-2.

Triboro won twice in the Central. Ryan Cronin scored early in a 2-0 win over Haverhill/Pentucket – and Ian Flerra scored with 5:22 left to give Triboro a 2-1 decision over Natick;

Matt Garmen scored one goal and set up two others in Reading’s 5-2 victory over Natick – Sean Henderson with 1-1-2 in the loss; Tyler Shatford scored with 8:21 remaining to give Haverhill/Pentucket a 2-1 victory over the Edge; David McManus scored twice and Joe Poirier had 1-1-2 as the Crusaders downed Wellesley 5-1; Ty Martin and Nick Biron scored early in the second period as the Edge trimmed Methuen 3-1; and Craig Regan’s second goal of the game, with 10:21 left, was the winner and Dave Peterson posted a goal and two assists as Woburn nipped Twin City 4-3 – Preston Kelly with a goal and an assist in the loss.
