Spring League - Week Ending 5/28 & 6/4

MITES

Antonio Bordonaro scored four goals, including a natural hat, and had two assists and Luke Griffin scored two goals and set up another to power the Vikings past Warriors Madill 8-4; and Declan Tatten scored four goals and dished out three assists, Ryan Cullity also wore the hat, adding two assists, Tommy Foley delivered two goals and an assist and No. 31 had a goal and an assist as the Shamrocks topped the Scorpions 12-5 – Justin Harrington with two goals and an assists and Evan Smith two goals in the loss.


SQUIRTS

Top Gun won three games and Warriors went 2-1 in the North. Brian Keefe pitched a shutout and Christos Panagakis scored midway through Top Gun’s 2-0 victory over Warriors Sheehan; Rocco Crescenza wore a natural hat and Dom Cerundolo scored twice in a 6-1 win over the same team – and Mike Valarelli (one assist) scored his second goal of the game and Kyle Byron followed 52 seconds later midway through the third period in a 5-2 victory over Warriors Thornborough, Jack Galvin with two assists in the loss; Zack Steely scored two goals and added two assists, Spencer Thornborough had a goal and three assists, Joey LeBrun and Dave Bosco both posted 1-1-2 and Luke Sardone had two assists as Thornborough topped Warriors Logue 8-1 – and Brian DeLisio, Miles Mireault and Steely (second goal) scored in a 1:33 span of the third period and Spencer Thornborough had a goal and an assist as Warriors Thornborough edged the Avalanche 6-5, – No. 1 with a goal and two assists and No. 00 two goals in the loss;

In the other game, John Miga wore the hat and had an assist as Warriors Sheehan downed the Avs 6-3 – No. 63 with all three goals and No. 6 assists on two of them in the loss.

The Tornadoes won twice and the Devil Dogs had a win and a tie in the South. Rogers scored four goals, Murphy clicked for 2-1-3, No, 16 had 1-2-3 and Carrabba 1-1-2 as the Tornadoes topped the Wildcats 10-2, Derek Perault with two assists in the loss – and Rogers scored four goals and set up another, Viscone handed out three assists, Murphy posted 1-1-2 and Burns pitched a shutout in an 8-0 win over the Dragons; Cade Cooper and Joey Calder both scored twice, Jack Hall had two assists and Nathan Michaud pitched a shutout in a 5-0 victory over the Young Guns – and Calder scored with 3:36 left to give the Devil Dogs a 3-3 tie with the Wildcats, who got two goals from Justin Thibert;

Lava came through with two goals and an assist, Luskin and No. 16 both posted 1-1-2 and Sullivan had two assists as Warriors Mericantante downed the Roadrunners 6-2; and Flynn scored with 7:20 left as the Rangers came from two goals down and tied the Young Guns 2-2.

The Titans won twice in the East. Bolduc scored four goals and set up another, Pickering wore the hat and had an assist and Coppen had a goal and an assist in a 10-4 victory over Blades of Fury, who got two goals apiece from Kiely Murphy and Abbie Poole – and Bolduc clicked for 2-1-3 and Coppen also scored twice in a 7-2 win over Warriors Mericantante;

Gavin Bennett and Cam Lanziero both scored four goals as the Roadrunners scored a big win over the Sabertooths; and No. 24wore the hat and No. 5 had 1-1-2 as Warriors Logue trimmed Warriors Mericantante 6-3 – Mericantante with 1-1-2 in the loss.


 

PEEWEES

In the North, Aiden Pinet, who also had an assist, scored with 2:28 left to give Warriors Griffin a 5-5 tie with Warriors KneelandMax Guertin with four goals and Andrew Wallace two assists for Griffin and Ciarcia three assists and Werner two goals for Kneeland.

The Eddies won twice in the South. Collins scored two goals and dished out four assists, Brissette and Tong both wore the hat and had an assist, No. 21 handed out four assists and Nigro posted 2-1-3 in an 11-3 win over Warriors Carlson – and McCarthy, Collins and Tong all clicked for 1-1-2 in a 4-1 triumph over the Shamrocks;

Civitarese had a goal and an assist and Johnson two assists as the Rangers edged the Bulldogs 4-3 – Chase Darcey with 1-1-2 in the loss; Considine scored twice and Robbins snapped a 1-1 tie with 4:47 left as the Shamocks trimmed Warriors Ward 3-1; Caiazzo wore the hat, Merrill posted 1-1-2 and W. Norton had two assists as Warriors Carlson topped the Blue Wings 6-1; and Cloutman scored with 6:17 left and Mustone followed with two seconds remaining to give the Blue Wings a 2-2 tie with Warriors Ward.

Haverhill won three times and the Gators twice in the East. Dom Capazzuto and Darren Ackerman scored 18 seconds apart early in the third period and Dom Romano and Will Janes both posted a goal and two assists as Haverhill edged the Bulldogs 5-4, Brady Baker with 1-2-3 and Nate Crowley two assists in the loss; Ackerman wore the hat, Joey Duggan posted 2-1-3 and Romano and Capazzuto both had 1-1-2 in a 9-5 win over the Gators, who got a hat trick from Lacroix, 1-1-2 from Woodlock and Zou and Haulter two assists apiece in the loss – and Romano clicked for 2-2-4, Ackerman had 2-1-3, Max Lane handed out three assists, Nathan Brown also scored twice, Sammy Montanile had 1-1-2 and Tyler Genna came within one second of a shutout in a 9-1 victory over the Redmen; Zou scored four goals, Woodlock scored twice and Vargas had two assists as the Gators defeated the Cyclones 7-3 – and Zou erupted for six goals and an assist and Rice added two assists in an 8-2 triumph over the Cyclones;

Chris Dibella  scored what turned out to be the winner in the second period as Warriors Ward trimmed the Cobras 4-2 – Sean Leetch with 1-1-2 in the loss; and Pat Morris’s second goal of the game, with 25 seconds left in the second period as the Cyclones edged the Raiders 3-2 – Ryan Harding with 1-1-2 in the loss.

The Bulldogs had two wins and a tie, the Cobras won twice and Billerica had a win and tied the Bulldogs in the West. Brendan Keough dished out five assists, Chase Darcey wore the hat and had an assist, Brody Baker had a goal and two assists and Jake Ryan had 1-1-2 as the Bulldogs downed the Rangers 10-4, Yeung with 2-1-3 in the loss – Darcey wore the hat natural hat and Body Amenkowicz had two assists in a 5-3 win over the Cobras, Chris Leone with two goals and Mario Blasi two assists in the loss; James Harrington wore the hat, Mike Yorba scored twice and Pat Hall had two assists in Billerica’s 8-5 victory over the Hornets, Brandano with 2-1-3, DeGregorio had 1-1-2 and Forristall two assists in the loss; and Dom Terrazzano scored with 6:12 left and then assisted on JP Allen’s goal with one second remaining to give Billerica a 2-2 tie with the Bulldogs; Picard wore the hat and Blasi scored twice as the Cobras defeated the Hornets 5-1 – and Mike McColgan scored twice, Leetch had 1-1-2 and Jerry O’Neil two assists as the Cobras edged the Rangers 3-;

In the other game, Tyler Beals wore the hat, Matt DiZoglio scored two goals and set up another and A.J. Chisholm posted a goal and an assist in Wilmington’s 7-2 victory over Triton.

The Spartans and Mustangs both won twice in the Central. Joe Arria scored two goals and set up another and Adam Ellegood also scored twice as the Spartans topped the Refugees 6-4, Vlacich with 1-2-3 in the loss – and Cam Shinnick scored twice and Chase Barlow had a goal and an assist in a 5-1 win over the Refugees; Anthony Madoresse and Nolan O’Keefe both wore hats and Jacob Canton dished out three assists as the Mustangs topped the Falcons 7-3, Dom Myers with two goals in the loss – and O’Keefe scored one goal and set up three others, Madoresse wore another hat and Elaina Szymanski and Cantone both scored twice in a 9-2 victory over the Falcons;


 

BANTAMS

Warriors DeMichaelis won three times in the North. Will Maher wore the hat, Theo Hsaio dished out three assists, Nike Anestis had a goal and an assist and Nolan Vigeant two assists as DeMichaelis downed the Predators 7-1l Aaron Zenus scored all four goals, Nate Byers assisted on two of them and Lucas Canelli and Pat Green shared the shutout in a 4-0 win over Warriors Irving –- and Byers clicked for 2-2-4, Kevin Daly set up three goals, Joe Tranchina had 1-1-2 and Green pitched a shutout in a 7-0 win over the Chiefs; Aidan Doherty scored twice as the Blue Wings edged Somerville 3-2;

McDonald scored two goals and set up another, Gesar also scored twice and Pigeon posted 1-1-2 in Somerville’s 9-1 victory over the Tornadoes; and Robbie Braccia scored twice and Jared Canton pitched a shutout as Four66 defeated the Chiefs 4-0.

The Blue Wings won twice in the South. Arsenault scored his second late goal with 2:12 left to give the Wings a 5-4 decision over Lynn, Dom Smiglia with 1-1-2 and Brendan Curtis two assists in the win and Patrie a hat trick and an assist and Cannizzaro a goal and two assists in the loss – and Bishoff posted 2-1-3 and Joe and Jeff Melanson both had 1-1-2 in a 5-1 win over the Sachems;

Tom Higgins had a goal and an assist in the first period as that was enough for the Chiefs to edge Lynn 2-1; Max Brown wore the hat and Villiot had two assists as Twice As Strong topped the Tornadoes 7-3 – Rumley with two assists in the loss; and Fazio pitched a shutout and Daley scored early as Lynn trimmed Twice As Strong 2-0

Warriors Blaeser won four times and the Pilgrims twice in the East. Vinal, Alberti and Blaeser all had a goal and an assist and Heaslip two assists in the Warriors’ 5-1 victory over the Shamrocks; Silverio and Dalton both scored twice and Brown came within 3:33 of a shutout in a 4-1 win over the NE Stars; Jack Silverio’s third and fourth goals of the game 12 seconds apart in the third period, C. Blaeser had two goals and P. Blaeser two assists in a 7-5 decision over the Ice Men, Colm Vraibel with a first-period hat trick and Steve Arsenault two assists in the loss – and Silverio clicked for 2-1-3, Bourgeois and Lin both scored twice and Alberti had two assists in an 8-3 triumph over Billerica; Lynch pitched a pair of shutouts for the Pilgrims and Thornton wore the hat, Hacker had 2-1-3 and Bowab had three assists in a 6-0 win over the Shamrocks – and Thornton wore a natural hat and Tobias had 1-1-2 in a 6-0 victory over the Blue Rangers;

Brendan Curtis’s second goal of the game, with 7:57 left, turned out to be the winner as the Ice Men edged the Bears 3-2; and Harty scored twice and Viscione had two assists as the Bears edged the Rangers 3-2.

The Pirates won three times and the Shamrocks had a win and a tie in the West. Owen Bedrosian pitched a shutout and Quinn Wyman snapped a scoreless tie with 9:25 left as the Pirates downed the Wolves 1-0; Sam Keene and Drew Carpenter both posted 1-1-2 and Bedrosian pitched another shutout in a 6-0 win over Shawshin – and Jackson Meyers scored with 3:32 left, Drew Carpenter followed with 1:42 remaining and the Pirates scored three goals in 3:32 late and nipped the Wolves 5-3 – Nolan Maul with 1-1-2 and Brendan Keenan two assists in the win and Pat Callahan two goals and Trevor Ring 1-1-2 in the loss; Jack Donnelly posted 1-1-2 and Pano Vlismas scored what turned out to be the winner with 5:40 left as the Shamrocks edged the NE Stars 3-2 – and Steve Ditchfield and Jack Donnelly (second goal of the game) scored 10 seconds apart in the third period to give the Shamrocks a 4-4 tie with Shawshin, Etha Qi with 1-1-2 for the Shamrocks and Sean Worrell two goals and Cosmo Siano 1-1-2 for Shawshin;

Cam Marzilli scored two goals and set up another as the Wildcats topped Shawshin 3-1; Brooks scored five goals, Cianci handed out three assists and No. 52 two as the NE Stars defeated the Knights 8-2; Gil Barnes scored with 8:28 left to give Everett/Revere a 2-2 tie with the Lightning; and Cole Ventre scored the winner with 10:13 left to give the Knights a 2-1 decision over Wilmington.


 

HIGH SCHOOLS

Top Gun won three times and JW Hockey and the Alouettes both won twice in the North. Nick Siciliano scored one goal and set up two others, Mike Bonnell scored twice, Ty Toohey and Owen Fowler both had a goal and an assist and Ben Boutselis also had two assists in Ton Gun’s 7-1 victory over North Reading; Brain Cabannea wore the hat in a 5-4 decision over the Chiefs, Colehower with 1-2-3, Cole two goals and Goroshko two assists in the loss – and Josh Smith scored twice and Zach Bent and Eric McDermott both posted 1-1-2 in a 6-1 triumph over Central Catholic; Peter Barry pitched a shutout and Matt Soucy had 1-1-2 as JW Hockey topped the Winn Chiefs 2-0 – and Nick DelTrecco had 2-1-3, Nick Feliciano 1-2-3 and Barry and Colin Campbell shared the shutout in a 5-0 win over the Refugees; Paul Curtis went for 2-1-3 and Mike Defilippo also scored twice as the Alouettes topped the Refugees 7-2 – and Nick Salgado and Steve Wesley both scored twice and Ryan Noonan had 1-1-2 in a 6-1 victory over Central Catholic;

In the other game, Stone’s second goal of the game, with 4:27 left, turned out to be the winner and Orlando came within 3:38 of a shutout as the NE Chiefs nipped Central Catholic 3-2.

The Grizzlies won twice in the South. Murphy tied the game with 4:19 left in the second period and Chris DeSousa then scored two goals in 26 seconds late in a 3-1 win over Amesbury White – and Marc Giordano, who also had an assist, scored his second goal of the game with 5:37 left and DeSousa (one assist) followed with 4:11 remaining in a 5-3 victory over the same teams, Robinson with 1-1-2 in the loss;

Anderson’s second goal of the game, to go with an assist, with 6:51 left, gave the Winn-Chiefs a 3-2 decision over the Mad Men; Lecain set up two goals and Driscoll scored what turned out to be the winner with 10:29 left as the Central Catholic JV nipped the Friars 4-3; Vachon snapped a 2-2 tie with 9:21 left as Amesbury White trimmed the Warriors 5-2 – Moulton with two goals in the loss; No, 11 scored four goals and Fietze posted 1-1-2 as the Warriors downed the Friars 5-2 – Vinny Giordano and Nick Prent with 1-1-2 apiece in the loss; and PJ Lorenti capped a hat trick and TJ Roach (one assist) followed 56 seconds later late in the game to give the Friars an 8-8 victory over Tewksbury – TJ Garesche with a goal and three assists and Connor Hillson 2-1-3 in the win and Campbell Pierce two goals and Aaron Scott and Pekula 1-1-2 apiece in the loss.

In the East, Justin Hasenstab scored two goals and set up another, Kevin Griskevich had a goal and two assists and Brian Pacheco also had two assists as the MadMen downed the Wild 7-2; Driscoll and No. 19 both scored twice and Lecain posted 1-1-2 as the Central Catholic JV topped North Reading 8-2; and Gagnon, who also had an assist, scored the tying goal with 6:48 left and Frank had 1-1-2 as the Wild pulled out a 2-2 tie with the Ice Dogs.

The Dippers won twice in the West. Noyes scored two goals and dished out two assists and Polisky wore the hat as the Dippers topped the Thrashers 6-2, No. 11 with 1-1-2 in the loss – and White scored twice in a 4-2 win over the Sachems;

No. 23 clicked for 2-2-4, Armand Kazanjian wore the hat, Nate Donaldson posted 2-1-3, Tyler Wendt had three assists and Brian Cebula had 1-1-2 as the Moose skated to a big win over the Lumberjacks; Terran Mazzaglia scored twice and Caden Rekis had two assists as the Huskies defeated the Lightning 6-2; and PJ Sullivan clicked for 2-1-3, Ricky Welsh also scored twice and Will Ruppole had two assists as the Sachems downed Woburn 8-3 – Pat Moore with two goals in the loss.

The Bears won three times, Woburn won twice and the Blue Wings had a win and a tie in the Central. Colby Pierce scored four goals and set up two others, Campbell Pierce also wore a hat and added two assists, Mike Arsenault posted 2-2-4, Kyle Preble had 1-2-3, Kyle Morris 1-1-2, Shane Hancox two assists and Trevor Harris the shutout as the Bears scored a big win over Amesbury Red; Oberton wore the hat and Max Brown had 2-1-2 as the Blue Wings topped the Icemen 6-1 – and Lendell scored with 8:30 left to answer a second-period goal by Brendan Vacca and give the Blue Wings a 1-1n tie with the Chiefs; Colin Savil wore the hat and Colin Quinn had 1-1-2 in Woburn’s 7-2 victory over Sanborn, Moulton with two goals and MacDougall 1-1-2 in the loss – and Savil wore a natural hat and Will Driscoll and George Athanasiadis shared the shutout in a 4-0 victory over the Chiefs;

In the other game, Matt Romagna scored with 10:01 left to give the Sachems a 2-1 decision over the Blue Wings.

Amesbury Red won three times, the Warriors posted two wins and a tie, the Wild won twice and the Timbers wore a pair of ties in the Northeast. Alex Tilden scored twice and Mitch MacLean had two assists in Amesbury’s 4-1 win over the Wild; Kyle Morris posted 2-1-3, MacLean scored twice and Jared Daniels had 1-1-2 in a 7-1 victory over the Warriors – and Tilden had a goal and two assists and Colin Mulcahy scored twice in a 5-3 win over the Toothless Wonders, who got two goals from Owen Thornton; Justin Healey erupted for eight goals and two assists and John Spina also wore a hat, adding two assists, in the Wild’s big win over the Lumberjacks, who got two goals from Doucette and 1-1-2 from Whitehouse – and Ryan Torrisi wore the hat, Cam Banks dished out three assists, Mike Dibacco had 1-1-2 and Andrew Kass pitched a shutout in the Wild’s 6-0 win over Sanborn; Ben Hays wore a late hat to give the Warriors a 3-2 decision over Burlington; Hays scored twice, Zach Dutton had two assists and Zach Roughan pitched a shutout as the Warriors defeated Burlington 5-0; Sean Bates and Tim Bedard were in goal for the Timbers and Roughan for the Warriors in a 0-0 tie – and Phil Parker, who also had an assist, scored the tying goal midway through the second period as the Toothless Wonders tied the Timbers 3-3, JR Lufkin with two assists for the Timbers;

In the other game, Gelinas and Doucette scored in the first period as the Lumberjacks edged the Toothless Wonders 2-1.
