Spring League - Week Ending 6/3

MITES

Joe Dresser scored one goal and handed out three assists, Landon Schelling wore the hat, Kayleigh LeColst and Paul Caruso both scored twice and Aiden DeFrancesco pitched a shutout as the Mas Bay Chiefs scored a big win over the Gladiators; Hayes scored four goals, No, 5 posted three assists, Anderson and Heneghan (49) both scored twice and Heneghan (44) had two assists in the Gladiators’ 11-3 victory over the Americans – Jack Wilson with two goals and an assist in the loss; No. 6 scored four goals, Nos. 5 and 13 both wore hats, No. 5 with an assist, No. 4 scored twice and No. 8 had two assists as he American’s topped the Blades 14-7 – No. 8 with four goals and an assist and No.6 two goals and two assists in the loss; and No. 0 wore the hat and added two assists, No. 9 scored four goals and No. 5 posted three assists as the Blades topped the Chiefs 11-8 – Candon Scheller and Ryan McGonagle with two goals and an assist apiece in the loss.


 

SQUIRTS

In the North, Chase Pelletier wore the hat to lead Warriors Logue past the Americans 4-2 – David Vater with two goals and Nolan Crocker two assists in the loss; and Emrick O’Brien scored four goals and set up another and Matt Driscoll had a goal and an assist as the Generals trimmed the Roadrunners 6-3 – Alex Corrigan with a goal and an assist in the loss.

The Flyers won twice in the South. Jack Stone erupted for six goals and Ryan Plett scored one goal and dished out three assists in a 10-3 victory over the Leprechauns – and Logan Pickering and Evan Biah both wore hats, Dom Cerone had a goal and an assist, Eli Evans two assists and Stone another goal in an 8-2 win over the Islanders;

Cole Oulette pitched a shutout, Matt Costa scored twice and Max Valcanas had two assists in Haverhill’s 2-0win over the Islanders; Nazarian wore the hat and had an assist, Lanziero scored two goals and set up another and Christopher also scored twice as the Redmen topped the Sachems 7-3 – Brett Daniels with two goals in the loss; and No. 37 scored twice and Vinnioe Durso pitched a shutout as Warriors Logue defeated Warriors Mericantante 5-0.

The Mustangs and Vikings both won twice in the South. Rowan Maywait scored two goals and set up another and No. 20 had a goal and an assist in the Mustangs’ 7-3 victory over Warriors Madill – and Liam Brady, Aiden Donovan and Colin O’Keefe all scored twice, Brady adding an assist, and Erin Alves pitched a shutout in an 8-0 win over Warriors Griffin; Ricky Mackenzie wore the hat, Tony Bordonaro scored one goal and dished out two assists and Joe Pumphret scored twice as the Vikings defeated Warriors Griffin 8-1 – and Dylan Fife scored with 1:18 left to break a 3-3 tie as the Vikings trimmed the Americans 5-3m Mike D’Ambrosio with a goal and two assists and Bordonaro a goal and a helper in the win and Jameson Needham a goal and an assist in the loss.

The Meerkats won twice in the West. Stephen Rizzo wore the hat and handed out four assists, Dimitri Bretton also wore a hat, setting up another goal, and Zac Guelpa came through with two goals and two assists in a 10-2 victory over Warriors Kneeland, Grady Stickney with two second-period goals in the loss – and David Perez scored two goals and dished out five assists, Isabella Krokas scored four goals and added two assists, James Caruson also wore a hat and Zach Woods and Guelpa both clicked for a goal and two assists in a loud win over Warriors Kneeland;

In the other game, Ronan scored five goals, including four straight, Marsh had a goal and two assists and Murray and Millett both posted 1-1-2 as the Dragons defeated Belmont 8-4 -- Carter Houseman with two goals and Peter Dimas assists on both in the loss.


 

PEEWEES

Warriors Ward won twice in the North. Mancini wore the hat and had an assist, Goldstein scored one goal and set up three others, Ward had a goal and two assists and Ferese pitched a shutout in a 7-0 win over the Misfits – and Nacar wore the hat and Thornton had two assists in a 4-2 triumph over the Savages;

Pat McGowan scored with 7:33 left to give Warriors Carlson a 1-1 tie with Top Gun – Cooper Brown with a goal late in the first period for Top Gun; Luke Brezner wore the hat, Ryan Rheaume had two goals and an assist and Aidan Burwell a goal and two assists as the Edge topped the Misfits 7-3 – Quinn Roman with two goals in the loss; and Coleman and McGonagle both scored twice to lead the Savages to a 7-1 victory over the Edge.

The Americans won twice in the South. Drew Waters scored twice, Mike Brandano scored what turned out to be the winner with 6:52 left and Sarah Powers had a goal and an assist in a 4-3 decision over the Tanners, Cooper with 1-1-2 in the loss – and Luciano delivered two goals and two assists, Brandano had a goal and two assists and No. 19 also scored twice in a big win over the same team.

In the other game, Chase Darcy scored four goals, Brody Baker also wore a hat and Cam Splaine had two assists as the Bulldogs downed the Rangers 8-1.

In the East, Tim McColgan wore a natural hat in a 1:57 span and handed out three assists, Ryan McCarthy and Ryan Doherty both posted a goal and two assists and Andrew Martin added a goal and an assist as the Americans topped the NS Vipers 10-3 – Julia Lambert with two goals in the loss; No. 41 scored four goal, No. 5 tallied twice and No. 52 had two assists in Beverly’s 6-4 victory over the Predators; Coffey wore the hat and Palmer had a goal and an assist as the Vikings defeated the Rangers 5-2; Jack Savage and Cam Lajoie both scored twice and Lucas Tinkham had a goal and an assist as the Predators downed Methuen 6-1; No. 16 had a goal and two assists in the DOT Chiefs’ 6-1 victory over the Vikings; and Pittore posted two goals and two assists, Gazda posted 2-1-3 and Morello a goal and an assist as the Hornets beat the Vikings 8-2 – Palmer with both goals in the loss.

In the West, LeBrun scored five goals and dished out three assists, Marques scored two goals and set up three others, Russo had a goal and two assists, Sanfilippo and Morris both posted 1-1-2 and Twombly had two assists in Warriors Russo’s big win over the Gators; Jack Lee’s second goal of the game, with 1:19 left, gave Woburn a 2-1 decision over the Vipers; No. 15 wore the hat, No. 8 had two goals and an assist and Kendrick Tam a goal and a helper as the Rams scored a big win over the Sharks; Diggs and Bennett both clicked for two goals and an assist and Noury had a goal and an assist as the Gators topped Newton 9-2; and MacCurtain had 1-1-2 and Carrera two assists as the Americans trimmed the Rams 4-1.


 

BANTAMS

In the North, McInnes scored two goals and set up another, Kuta delivered a goal and two assists and Blaeser a goal and an assist as Warriors Blaeser topped Warriors Harb 4-2, Jack Toohey with two goals and Rich Guarino assists on both in the loss; the Americans defeated Warriors Blaeser 5-0; and Nardone scored four goals and Defeo had 1-1- as the Warriors Harb beat the Americans 6-1.

The Blue Wings won twice in the South. Cerrato’s second goal of the game snapped a 4-4 tie with 2:25 left in a 6-4 victory over the Falcons, Mangeloke with two goals and an assist and Ducharme a goal and a helper in the win and Henry Butte two goals and two assists and Andrew Ferreira two goals in the loss – and Doherty scored what turned out to be the winner in the second period of a 3-2 decision over the Vipers;

Pano Vlismas had a goal and an assist as the Shamrocks trimmed the Falcons 3-1; Hubbard pitched a shutout and Ranaldi scored early as Warriors Kneeland nipped the Hooligans 2-0; and Henry Butte and James Grady both scored twice and Theo Martin had 1-1-2 as the Falcons defeated The Eddies 5-3 – Austin Curtis with two goals and Shaan Porecha 1-1-2 in the loss.

Twice As Strong won twice and the Americans posted a win and a tie in the East. Kolby Horgan scored twice, Bobby Diaz had a goal and an assist and Mike Brothers pitched a shutout as Twice As Strong defeated the Edge 4-0 – and Brothers and Spencer combined on a shutout and Jonathan Viliott set up both goals in a 2-0 victory over the Shamrocks; Alex Rich scored one goal and handed out four assists, Alan Weitzman wore the hat and had an assist, Ryan Kavanaugh scored twice and Kevin Popielski came within 1:20 of a shutout in the Americans’ 8-1 victory over the Mustangs – and Mike Deoreo scored with two minutes left to give the Americans a 3-3 tie with the Stars;

Leary scored four goals and set up two others, Wesley also wore a hat, adding two assists, and Pellegrino had two goals and an assist as the Arrows scored a big win over the Edge; Riley capped a hat trick with 4:36 left to give the Edge a 3-2 decision over the Americans; and Andrew TeDuits and Vinny Sneider both scored twice in Everett/Revere’s 6-0 victory over the Mustangs.

Lynn won twice, the Cobras had a win and a tie and Black Knights and Rangers both won a game and tied each other in the West. Mike Capone wore the hat and had an assist, Chris Panacopoulos delivered two goals and two assists, Ryan LaRiviere and John Daley both clicked for two goals and an assist and Aiden Sprague also scored twice in Lynn’s big win over the Sabres – and Connor Gagne and John Daley both wore hats, Gagne with an assist, Capone had 2-1-3, Sprague scored twice and Riley Bagely and LaRiviere both had two assists in a big win over the Lancers; Alex Fucile had 1-1-2 as the Cobras topped the Lancers 4-1 – and Ryan Frasca scored the tying goal with 8:05 left and Adam Godfrey had 1-1-2- as the Cobras tied the Hitmen 3-3; Strout and Sabetti both scored twice and Wiklund had a goal and an assist as the Black Knights bested the Wildcats 9-3; Chris DiMaggio and Keegan Boyden both delivered 1-1-2 as the Rangers downed the Hitmen 5-2, Ryan Frasca with 1-1-2 in the loss – and Gabe Lozowski capped a 2-1-3 game with a goal with 5:40 left to give the Rangers a 3-3 tie with the Black Knights;

In the other game, Griffin Carr scored twice, Matt DiZoglio and Brian Barry both had a goal and an assist and Anthony Angiuoni had two assists as the Wildcats defeated the Chiefs 7-2 – Alex Simpson and Drew Keenan with 1-1-2 apiece in the loss.


 

MIDGETS

Tewksbury won twice in the North. Kyle Lombardo scored twice in a 5-1 victory over JW Hockey – and Campbell Pierce wore the hat, Mike Arsenault had two assists and Colin Martel and Pat Letourneau came within 51 seconds of a shutout in a 4-2 win over the Jumbos;

Brandon Stewart scored what turned out to be the winner with 7:51 left as JW Hockey edged the Lightning 3-2; and Torrisi wore the hat, Driscoll and Doucette both scored twice and Lajoie posted 1-1-2 as the Jumbos defeated the Lightning 9-1.

Toothless Wonders won twice in the South. Mark Lucca and Mikey Dingis scored early in the second period of a 3-1 win over Amesbury – and Dingis set up three goals and in a 4-1 victory over the Mad Men;

Doucette and Marinelli both came through with a goal and two assists as the Mad Men topped the Hooligans 7-2 – Langley with 1-1-2 in the loss; Ryan Babcock’s second goal of the game snapped a 3-3 tie with 8:01left and Trevor Wilson had 1-1-2 as the Hornets trimmed the Wild 5-3; and McKay scored the tying goal with 2:08 left and A. Surrette had 1-1-2 as the Chiefs tied Salem 3-3.

The Bears won twice, Somerville II had a win and a tie and Somerville I two ties in the East. Mike Arsenault and Colby Pierce both had a goal and an assist as the Bears trimmed the Catamounts 4-2 – and the Bears defeated the Warriors 9-1; Aidan Johnson had two goals and an assist and Proctor also scored twice in Somerville II’s 6-2 victory over North Reading – and Proctor, who also had an assist, scored with 2:37 left to give Somerville a 4-4 tie with the Warriors; Somerville I’s Austin Pacheco and Salem’s Jones scored 1:11 apart in the second period of a 1-1 tie – and Somerville I and Winchester tied 3-3;

In the other game, Davis (12) wore the hat and had two assists, Coop posted 1-1-2 and Stern two assists as the Thrashers topped the Catamounts 6-3 – Varman with two goals in the loss.

The Warthogs and DOT Chiefs both won twice in the West. Anthony Papa scored one goal and set up two others, Dom Hall scored twice and Andrew Kass pitched a shutout as the Warthogs topped the Lightning 7-0 – and the Warthogs edged Twice As Strong 2-0 as Nicolas Pereira and Anthony Papa scored in a 2:34 span early in the second period; A. Burke, who also had two assists, scored 43 seconds into the third period and James O’Neill then came through with 7:25 remaining as the Chiefs trimmed the Friars 5-3, Joe with three assists and No. 00 two goals in the loss – and Ronan Kelly wore the hat and handed out three assists, Brendan Burke also wore a hat and Cormac Lafferty had two goals and an assist in an 8-2 win over the Condors, Vacca with both goals in the loss;

Jason Smith had a goal and an assist as AC daddy’s scored all four goals in a 4:01 span of the second period and Dileo pitched a shutout in a 4-0 victory over the Timbers; John Oro had two goals and an assist as Twice As Strong defeated the Friars 5-2; No. 27 wore the hat and had two assists, No. 25 scored twice, Ryan Soucy posted 1-1-2 and Tim Bedard pitched a shutout in then Timbers’ big win over the Lightning; Clarke scored the tying goal early in the second period as the Chiefs toed the Knights 2-2; and Brendan Gruenberg scored with 43 seconds left to give the Lightning a 4-3 decision over the Condors – Vacca with all three goals in the loss.
